Tax Department Internship

No experience required; dates of employ 2/1-4/15

Please visit us in the fall of 2008 when we will begin awarding our 2009 internship opportunities.

For students either in their junior year of study for Accounting Bachelor Degrees or seniors in the five year accounting program, we offer a unique opportunity.  You are able to develop your own work schedule of 15 to 20 hours per week and receive an attractive hourly wage while gaining real experience. 

As an intern in our taxation department, you will receive comprehensive training on our paperless office system before preparing individual income tax returns from February to April.  You will work closely with a Manager that will provide continuous feedback and personalized training to you.  You will also have a professional "big brother or sister".  Your BS&P big brother/sister will be a Staff Accountant who also participated in our internship program while they were completing their accounting degree.  They will share their experiences with you and help you become a confident member of our firm.                   

Essential Job Functions:
 
Engagements for Interns in the Tax Department include the preparation of individual  income tax returns for individuals

Requirements:
  Applicants must be at least a year and half away from completing their advanced accounting degree
  All students must be in good academic standing
  Accounting, auditing or taxation experience a plus, but not required
  Available 15 to 20 hours per week from February 1 until April 15 with a week of paid training in January
