On Wednesday August 15th, our firm participated in the Annual United Way Day of Caring. Three separate teams, placed at locations around WNY, served the community in the various needs of the participating organizations.
The first group worked at Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve. They assisted in removing invasive plant species to help retain the beauty of the park. Meanwhile, another group worked at the Buffalo Peace House in Hamburg. They painted a kitchen, hallway and resident rooms. They also did some light yard work around the house. Thirdly, another group worked with the Valley Community Association to help clean out a storage facility and tidy up Mutual Riverfront Park.
Each group worked as a team to promote the United Way’s mission of strengthening the community. After volunteering, the firm members gathered at Riverworks, where they participated in “The Great Escape Room”. Each team worked toward the ultimate goal of being the first to solve a variety of puzzles. It was a great way for the firm to join together for team bonding and to have a little fun too!
