For candidates with 0-2 years’ experience, Brock, Schechter & Polakoff, LLP is a great place to begin or advance your career with a modern firm located in the up-and-coming Larkin District. Our accountants have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments including tax and audit. After a few years of experience, we will work with you to determine which department you will enjoy working in as well as what area you’d like to become an expert in. Engagements for Staff Accountants include:
- Conducting audit and accounting assignments for a wide range of industries
- Preparing financial statements for profit and not-for-profit organizations
- Preparing income tax returns for individuals, partnerships and corporations
- Assistance with the discovery process for accounting fraud investigations

BS&P Internship Programs
BS&P offers internships to accounting students in their junior or senior year of study who are planning on obtaining the educational requirements to become certified as a CPA. Our firm offers interns the opportunity to work for a growing firm with a strong devotion to a healthy work/life balance. As an intern, you will work closely with a Firm Manager that will provide continuous feedback and personalized training to you. You will also have a professional big brother or sister who will share their experiences with you and help you become a confident member of our firm.
Located in the up and coming Larkin District, our staff enjoys the opportunities of Larkin Square featuring casual indoor and outdoor dining options, retail market stalls, food trucks, free concerts and more!
Spring Internship
For students in their junior or senior year of a five-year accounting program, we offer a unique internship opportunity to join our growing firm! You are able to develop your own work schedule of approximately 20 hours per week and receive an attractive hourly wage while having the opportunity to prepare individual tax returns working for a public accounting firm located in the up-and-coming Larkin District.
Job Summary:
Engagements for Interns include the preparation of individual income tax returns. You will be introduced to our firm culture, people and practices and have the opportunity to participate in all firm events.
Skills and Experience Required:
Applicants must be in their junior or senior year of study working towards a five-year Advanced Accounting Degree or master’s degree which gives necessary requirements to become licensed as a CPA. (All students must be in good academic standing).
Summer Internship

Summer Leadership Program – June 2025
How do you know public accounting is for you? By experiencing it! This one-day program gives you the chance to jump-start your career and explore your interests while gaining insight into the culture at BS&P. You will get exposure to firm values, the ability to network with BS&P professionals from staff to partner, a tour & team scavenger hunt of Larkin Square and learn how to utilize your strengths to Standout for Success as you start your career in accounting.

Skills and Experience Required:
Applicants must be in their Freshman/Sophomore/Junior year of study working towards a five-year Advanced Accounting Degree or Masters Degree which gives necessary requirements to become licensed as a CPA (All students must be in good academic standing and a GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred).
Sophomore Shadow Program
